Leather Coin Purse and Keyring – Introduction to Leather Craft
A great introduction to Leathercraft. Make a leather coin purse and key ring using vegetable-tanned leather. You will be shown how to use leather tools safely and hand sew leather.
The workshop is suitable for adults – beginners.
- You will select your own design from a pre-made template.
- Experiment with making holes for your purse, stamping letters and using rivets.
- Cut your purse and keyring out using a craft knife.
- Sew your purse by hand using a lacing pony.
- Apply your own chosen finish.

Please be reassured that all workshops and short courses will follow COVID-19 safety measures. These include:
Reduced class sizes.
Regular cleaning of shared spaces such as the WC.
Individual stations that provide your own supply of antibacterial hand gel, antibacterial spray/wipes for surfaces.
Use of own tools, if any of the resources are shared such as paints – disposable gloves are readily available.
In addition to a tower fan that moves air around, the studio door will also be partially open to encourage the free flow of air.
In the event of a COVID-19 spike either locally or nationally. This workshop will be rescheduled to a more suitable and safe date. If you book this workshop, alternative dates will be given when it is safe to do so.
